TRANSPARENCY & METHODOLOGY
Data Sources
WeatherVerse combines weather models, geographic data, mapping services and environmental information from established data providers to deliver weather information for locations around the world.
How WeatherVerse Works
WeatherVerse does not generate weather observations or forecasts independently. Instead, it retrieves and processes data from external providers and presents that information through the Weather Verse interface.
Depending on the feature and location, WeatherVerse may use different underlying datasets or weather models. This allows the application to provide current conditions, forecasts, geographic information, maps and other weather-related information in one place.
WEATHER FORECASTING
Open-Meteo
WeatherVerse uses Open-Meteo to obtain weather forecast information including temperature, apparent temperature, humidity, precipitation, rain, snowfall, cloud cover, atmospheric pressure, wind speed, wind direction and weather conditions.
Open-Meteo combines numerical weather prediction models from multiple national weather services and can select an appropriate high-resolution model for a requested location.
MAP DATA
OpenStreetMap
WeatherVerse uses OpenStreetMap-based geographic information for map visualization and location-related features.
OpenStreetMap is a collaborative geographic database created and maintained by contributors around the world.

GEOCODING & LOCATION
Nominatim
WeatherVerse uses geographic search and reverse-geocoding services to connect locations with geographic coordinates.
This allows WeatherVerse to translate between place names and latitude/longitude coordinates used by weather and mapping services.
WEATHER VISUALIZATION
LibreWXR
WeatherVerse also uses LibreWXR-related weather visualization resources for map-based weather information.
These resources complement the forecast information by providing visual representations of weather conditions and atmospheric patterns.

From Location to Forecast
A user searches for a location or allows device-based geolocation.
The location is associated with latitude and longitude coordinates.
Weather information is requested for the selected coordinates.
The information is processed and displayed through the WeatherVerse interface.
About Forecast Accuracy
Weather forecasts are estimates produced from numerical weather models and observational data. Forecast accuracy can vary depending on location, weather conditions, forecast horizon and the underlying model.
WeatherVerse presents information obtained from its data providers and does not guarantee that forecasts will always be completely accurate or current.
Attribution & Licensing
WeatherVerse acknowledges the external services and communities whose data and infrastructure contribute to the application.
OpenStreetMap data is made available under the Open Database License (ODbL). Appropriate attribution is provided for OpenStreetMap-based map data.
